The last opera of Gevaert performed in a Paris’ opera house was Le capitaine Henriot, which was created on 29 December 1864 in the Opéra-Comique.
The fabulous mezzo Célestine Galli-Marié, who was at the time in the beginning of a spectacular career, sang the main female role.
